The Dürnsteiner Kellerberg is possibly one of the most famous vineyards in the Wachau. Not only does it shape the landscape, it also forms the foundation for particularly intense and mineral rich wines. The sparse sandy soil is dominated by weathered gneiss (metamorphic rock), the bedrock of this vineyard.

Wine: This heart and palate refreshing Grüner Veltliner captivates with its spicy scent, which is accompanied by delicate citrus nuances. In the taste it combines juicy sweet honeydew melons with overripe passion fruit, which are given a wonderfully harmonious finish by delicate yeast flavour.

Recommended food: A perfect companion to the local cuisine, to baked, spicy fish dishes, but also to dishes of Far Eastern cooking style
