Data Collection and Use When Visiting the Website 

You can visit our website without providing any personal information. Nevertheless, every time you request a file through your internet browser, access data (including the name of the retrieved page or file, date and time, internet browser used, the page from which you have come to us (Referer), screen resolution and operating system, etc.) is sent to us and evaluated by us for statistical purposes. No information, even extracts, will be forwarded to any third parties.

Data Collection and Use for Webshop Orders

If you place an order from our webshop, we will collect the following data: first name, last name, company name (if necessary), street name, postal code, city, country, telephone number, e-mail address, selected shipping method, selected payment method and possibly an individual text message. Providing this data is required for the processing of all purchases made by you; otherwise, your order will not be able to be placed. The providing of your telephone number and a text message are not required. However, if you provide us with your telephone number, then, if necessary, we would be able to contact you directly and as quickly as possible. By providing your telephone number, you agree and confirm with us that we keep the number for this sole purpose only.
If you place an order without a customer account (in other words, if you "pay as a guest"), then we process the data you have entered exclusively for the processing, execution and settlement of your purchase.

We store the data you’ve provided when placing your order only for as long as necessary, unless we are legally obliged to keep it for a longer period of time (for example, due to accounting regulations). In principle, we store the data until the end of the statutory period for claims under the purchase contract. In the case of your consent or due to a legitimate interest, we will store it beyond this period.

If you create a customer account with us, we will store all data (e-mail address and password) and all purchases made with this account together with its data, so that you can retrieve them at a later time. The data will be stored until you delete your account or unless we are legally required to store it for a longer period. Only with your consent or due to a legitimate interest can the data be stored beyond this period.

The ordering process is handled by Snipcart; all payments are through our payment partner, Mollie. Therefore, we do not collect any data on payments made by credit card. The entire ordering process is encrypted via SSL.

Data Collection and Use When Sending Our Newsletter

When you register to receive our newsletter, we will process all of your provided data (name, e-mail address) for the purpose of sending the newsletter to you. In addition, we will collect information about your individual use of the newsletter (including the number and date of received messages, the opening rate, the link click-through rate as well as the used mail client and server). We use this data to continually adapt our offering to the needs and interests of our users so that our newsletter contains relevant information for them. You can object to the evaluation of the newsletter data at any time, free of charge, via a link in each mailing and by sending a message to weingut@bruendlmayer.at. In the event of a dispute, we will not evaluate your use of the newsletter personally. We will store the data for the duration of the newsletter subscription. Only with your consent or due to a legitimate interest can the data can be stored beyond this period.

Use of Data for Direct Mail

We also use all information that you’ve provided for direct mailing (for example, for sending mail or sending you a newsletter). You can object to the processing of data for the direct mail at any time by sending a message to info@weingut-schmidl.at. In case of an objection, we will no longer process your data for this purpose.

Passing Your Data to Third Parties

We use the data provided by you in order to fulfil the contract; it is used strictly in accordance with the statutory provisions. If necessary, a transfer of your data to other companies, such as the post office or other parcel services and payment service providers, can take place. These companies work for us as "contract processors" and may use your data only for the execution of specific orders. You are contractually bound by us to comply with the statutory data protection regulations.

In the case that involves a statutory provision, an official order or an official investigation, we are obliged to provide the respective data to the authority.
