The Supperin extends from the romantic Dürnstein city walls running southward and sloping gently to the banks of the Danube. The historic vineyard (1493) is named after the Superior, then abbess of the Dürnstein cloister. Elegant fruity wines are produced by vines benefiting from soil of fine sand.
 
Wine: A light representative of this wine variety. Wonderful citrus aromas in the nose and exotic fruits combined with the typical "pepperl" in the taste make this Grüner Veltliner an excellent food companion. A slight acid play on the palate makes for a wonderful drinking pleasure.
 
Recommended food: vegetable gratin pasta and rice dishes, fried chicken and fish
