The Dürnsteiner Kellerberg is possibly one of the most famous vineyards in the Wachau. Not only does it shape the landscape, it also forms the foundation for particularly intense and mineral rich wines. The sparse sandy soil is dominated by weathered gneiss (metamorphic rock), the bedrock of this vineyard.
 
Wine: Very finely structured, mineral Riesling with a spicy scent of ripe Williams pear and fruity apricot, juicy vineyard peach unfolds on the palate. A full-bodied but nevertheless refreshing taste experience.
 
Recommended food: roasted or grilled poultry, fish dishes, saddle of veal
